CCCC Counseling Center

The purpose of our service is to provide brief intervention by assisting the student in managing acute or chronic mental health symptoms. The main goal for all students is to maintain successful academic progress and personal well-being. We provide short-term, focused counseling to currently registered CCCC students.

The services provided by CCCC Counseling Center are voluntary and confidential. There is no cost for a student to meet with a therapist on campus.

BetterMynd Online Therapy


If Aubrey is not available at a time that is convenient for you, online therapy is an alternative option. Cloud County Community college is partnered with BetterMynd, a teletherapy platform, to offer students access to free, confidential online therapy.  BetterMynd offers:


• Virtual counseling from the privacy of your laptop or phone
• Sessions available during days, nights, and weekends
• Counselors who are diverse
• Personalized care based on your needs
• The ability to schedule ongoing 50-minute teletherapy sessions as you see fit
• Group workshops

Scheduling appointments

The CCCC Counseling Center is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You may call or stop by the office during regular office hours to schedule an appointment.

CCCC Counseling Center Crisis Availability:

REGULAR HOURS

CCCC Counseling Center is available to assist in mental health related crises. On weekdays between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. contact CCCC Counseling Center at (785) 243-1435, ext. 261 to request an appointment with a mental health therapist to discuss urgent situations.

AFTER HOURS

For students living on campus please contact CCCC Security at (785) 243-6646 or Pawnee Mental Health Services at 1-800-609-2002. In an emergency, call 911.

For students living off campus please contact Pawnee Mental Health Services at 1-800-609-2002. In an emergency, call 911.

Students are encouraged to contact CCCC Counseling Center during regular office hours after a crisis to schedule a follow up appointment and ensure continuity of care.

Meet the therapist

Aubrey Anderson graduated from Friends University with a Master of Science in Family Therapy and is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist.

Aubrey worked as a therapist in community mental health for over six years
and provided treatment to clients diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness. She is experienced in working with a wide range of presenting issues including: depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, adjustment issues, anger issues, stress, low self-esteem, relational difficulties, and suicidal ideation. Aubrey is able to conduct diagnostic evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide evidenced based therapy and crisis intervention. Aubrey has experience working with children, teenagers, adults, couples, and families. In addition to the Master’s program Aubrey completed, she has been trained in EMDR Therapy and TF-CBT.

Aubrey believes everyone can benefit from therapy, and reaching out for support or help when needed is a strength. She encourages any student who is struggling and considering therapy to schedule an appointment.
