Kansas Adult Education

Adult Education (AE) is a local, state, and national program which provides classes designed to help students strengthen their educational, technological and workplace skills at no cost to the student who is 16 years of age or older and is not enrolled in school. (A nominal book/materials fee is charged.)

We offer several class options!

Classes start in August, October, January, and March. Call for more information and to register for classes.

Who Can Enroll in the Program? 

Anyone over 16 years of age who wants to:

  • Improve Math, Reading, or Writing skills
  • Prepare for the GED test & earn a Kansas State High School Diploma
  • Prepare for college or technical training
  • Improve English as a Second Language skills
  • Improve computer skills/earn Technology certificates
  • Improve employment skills/earn WORKReady Credential

Classes are free of charge to those who qualify.

There is a small materials fee and a fee for the GED Test. Students must participate in an orientation before attending classes. Orientations are held in early August, mid-October, early January, and mid-March. Classes are small and taught by well trained, credentialed teachers. Both daytime and evening classes are available in most subjects at two locations.
