FAFSA Application Instructions

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online.   Submitted FAFSAs are electronically sent to Cloud County Community College when our Federal School Code of 001909 is included on the FAFSA.

The FSA ID username and password must be used to log in to certain U.S. Department of Education websites.  Your FSA ID confirms your identity when you access your Financial Aid information and electronically sign Federal Student Aid documents.

Both the student and the parent(s) of the student will need to create their own FSA ID username and password.

• Create a username and password using your unique e-mail address.
  • We recommend not using your High School email.
  • If you have already created an FSA username and password but do not recall your log in information, you will not be able to create a new one. You will need to reset either your username or password, utilize your challenge questions, or call/chat with Federal Student Aid to authenticate your identity and reset your information.
• Enter your name, date of birth, Social Security number, contact information, and challenge questions/answers.
• Please use your own phone number.
• Review your information, and read and accept the terms and conditions.
• Confirm your e-mail address/phone number using the secure code(s) sent to you - Federal Student Aid utilizes multi-factor authentication. 
• Your username, email address, or phone number can all be used to log into your FSA account.

Priority Dates

Once a complete FAFSA has been submitted with all required documentation, an Aid Offer will be sent to the student along with a College Financing Plan detailing Aid eligibility, disbursement information, and steps to request Federal Direct Loans.
