The Geary County Campus Student Senate is a student led organization that allows students to have a voice as they participate in campus and community activities. The mission of the Student Senate is to represent the concerns of the student population, promote good citizenship within the college and the greater community, and encourage productive relationships and positive morale.

As the official voice of the students on campus, the GCC Student Senate strives to promote good citizenship through volunteer work and to raise awareness on many different issues that impact the student population. The GCC Little Free Pantry is the main campus service project that the organization promotes, with a goal of providing non-perishable food items to students in need. Our community service work involves ushering and volunteering at the Junction City Little Theater. Student Senate activities include: Constitution Day Awareness, Halloween Face-Off, Pack-the-Pantry Fundraiser, President's Day Celebration, and the Annual Art Show.

Members of the Student Senate are given the opportunity to gain valuable leadership experience as they plan and implement a variety of activities. Student Senate meetings are open to the student body and all are encouraged to participate as an officer or student representative.

Meeting times are Tuesdays at 11 a.m. in room C2.
