Cloud County Community College’s Music Department will present its spring band and choir concerts on May 3 and 4.
The spring Band Concert will be Monday, May 3 at 7 p.m. in Cook Theatre, and will feature the Community Band and the Rolling Thunder Drumline.
Selections that will be performed include: “At Morning’s First Light,” “Highlights from the Wizard of Oz,” and “Tambora.”
The choir concert will feature the Community Chorale and Cloud 9 Jazz Choir. The groups will perform a number of selections, including “Enter with Singing,” “I Choose Love,” and “Too Darn Hot.”
The Cloud 9 Jazz Choir will also be performing a selection that was arranged and published by Cloud County Music Director Christopher Langsford, “I’m Always Chasing Rainbows.”
Admission to both concerts is free. Seating in Cook Theatre will be somewhat limited due to COVID-19 restrictions, and masks will be required. To reserve a free ticket, email Langsford at chris.langsford@cloud.edu, or call 785.243.1435, ext. 286.
