The Spring 2022 Music Concert is March 8.

Cloud County Community College’s Music Department will present its Spring Concert – “Music: The Sound of My Heart” – on Tuesday, March 8. The concert, which is free, will be at 7 p.m. in Cook Theatre on the Concordia campus. The concert is celebrating Music in Our Schools Month.

Cloud County Community College’s Music Department will present its Spring Concert – “Music: The Sound of My Heart” – on Tuesday, March 8. The concert, which is free, will be at 7 p.m. in Cook Theatre on the Concordia campus. The concert is celebrating Music in Our Schools Month.

The concert will feature the North Central Kansas Community Band, the Cloud 9 Jazz Choir, the Community Chorale, and Cloudburst, which is a chamber string ensemble featuring violin, viola, cello, double bass, and piano.

The NCK Community Band is a non-auditioned community ensemble that performs primarily traditional wind and concert band selections. The band will perform selections including “Hillside March,” “Flamingo Road,” and “Two by George,” music by George Gershwin.

Cloudburst, which is made up of both Cloud County students and community members, will perform “Presto,” from Piano Trio No. 2 by Beethoven, “Danny Boy,” and “Final Expedition.”

The Concert Choir and Community Chorale will perform “Sing Out a Joyful Song,” “Ad Astra,” and “Over my Head.”

The Cloud 9 jazz choir will perform several selections, including “Hit Me With A Hot Note,” “We Can Dream,” and “Oye La Música.”
