Board of Trustees candidate forum announcement.

The Cloud County Community College Faculty Association will be host to a Board of Trustees candidate forum on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. in Cook Theatre.

There are currently three seats up for election on the college board on November 5. Those positions are currently held by Ellen Anderson, Larry Henry and Tom Tuggle. Both Anderson and Tuggle have filed for re-election. Also filing for seats on the board are Jim Koch, Clyde, and Richard Hubert, Concordia. On Wednesday, Jerad Monzon announced his intentions to mount a write-in campaign for a seat on the board.

Tuggle and Anderson are both seeking their third terms on the college board. They were both first elected in 2011 and re-elected with no opposition in 2015.

Koch is a member of the CCCC Foundation Board of Directors. He is currently employed at American State Bank & Trust, moving to a part-time role and working toward retirement at the end of the year.

Hubert, who works at Rod’s Food Store, is a graduate of Cloud County. He previously ran a write-in campaign for the board in 2017, but was not elected.

Monzon, also a graduate of the college, previously worked for Cloud in the Information Technology Department. He is the husband of Deb Monzon, the head coach of the Cloud County volleyball team.

Toby Nosker, news director of KNCK, will be moderator for the forum.
