CCCC to host Community Block Party

Cloud County Community College is inviting the community to a free Community Block Party on Thursday, August 27, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Broadway Plaza in Downtown Concordia, and promises an evening full of family fun.

The Block Party will feature a variety of activities and entertainment, including:

• Live Music
• Food Trucks
• Free Popcorn and Sno Cones
• Juggling, Face Painting and Balloon Art

All events are free to attend, though food truck items will be available for purchase. Food trucks that will be in attendance will be Cags Drink Trailer, Off My Rocker, and Made 2 Grill.

The live music will be provided by Cloud alumnus Taylor Kline and he will be joined by Mandy Kary. The duo play Kline’s original music and a wide variety of classic covers that span the last six decades. Their vocals, along with guitar, harmonica, mandolin, and harmonies provide more energy than a typical duo.

“The Community Block Party is a great opportunity for the college to connect with our community and welcome everyone back for a new school year,” said Linnea Perales, Foundation Specialist. “We’re excited to bring people together for an evening of fun and T-Bird spirit right in the heart of downtown Concordia. We hope families and community members will join us and enjoy everything the evening has to offer.”

The event is free and open to the public, making it a perfect opportunity for community members of all ages to take part in the festivities.
