Cloud County Community College’s Theatre Department will present its fall play, The Dining Room, by A.R. Gurney, November 5-8 in Cook Theatre on the Concordia campus.
Showtime for the November 5 show will be at 12:30 p.m., and 7 p.m. for the November 6-8 shows. Tickets are $10, but CCCC students will be admitted free.
Eighteen sequential and sometimes overlapping scenes bring The Dining Room to life. The actors change roles, personalities and ages as they portray a wide variety of characters, from little boys to stern grandfathers, and from giggling teenage girls to Irish housemaids. Each actor in the play has nine to 10 different characters.
The play is directed by Cloud County’s theatre instructor, Julia Burr-Roveti, and is presented by arrangement with Samuel French Publishers. The show runs 90 minutes, and there will be one 10-minute intermission, where concessions will be sold.
The cast for the play includes:
