CCCC is starting a Solar Energy program to train students to become solar project designers, installers, and operation technicians. The Solar Project will be designed and constructed by CCCC Solar Energy students. Solar classes will be offered this summer and the students in those classes will learn about the basics of solar panel technology. The students will then put that knowledge to use every day while construction of the solar project progresses. What better way is there to train students than to have students construct and maintain an actual Solar Project?

The project will consist of up to 200 kilowatts of solar panels installed near the CCCC wind turbines with power running to the main campus. The energy produced from this project will help fund scholarships for renewable energy students.

A donation of any amount will help support this project. The current installation cost of one solar panel is $300.  A donation toward a solar panel will make a great gift or memorial! For each solar panel you contribute toward, you will receive a certificate with your name or the name of the graduate/student it is in honor of. An engraved plaque with all the solar panel donors will be on display at CCCC.

We hope you will join us in this great project – thank you!
