Why Visual Communications?

Surrounded by internet memes and viral videos, an audience can easily miss the messages that matter.  Learn to communicate with the vivid, visual graphics that make your message stand-out.

The 30 credit hour Visual Communication certificate requires a blend of courses that  integrate design fundamentals—eye-catching layouts, creative graphics, and professional software experience— with communications basics —effective advertising, crisp writing, and audience analysis.  The certificate includes a three credit hour CA 220 internship that challenges students to apply course work to the world of work.

Earn the stand alone certificate for professional development to refresh communications skills and develop graphic design experience.  Earn the certificate as a stepping-stone to one of our two year degrees to develop a working portfolio and experience the success of completion.
