Why Agriculture & Industrial Technology?

The Agriculture Department includes the principles of animal care, crop and vegetable farming, marketing of farm products, sustainable practices, and large property management.

Certificates in the areas of Production and Services, and Precision Agriculture can be completed in one year or less and can be a starting point for a two-year degree. The Agriculture Department also offers a certificate for a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and Welding.

Student Spotlight

Meet:  Katelynn Priest
Collegiate FFA and Farm Bureau

"The Ag department is one of the major reasons I choose to attend Cloud County. Not only are both professors very knowledgeable about their content areas but they allow students to do some hands on learning with the greenhouse and swine facility on campus. Aside from academics the agriculture department provides several extra curricular clubs and teams to be apart of. I attended Cloud with intent to be on the horse and livestock judging team, where we got to travel to several different states to compete! I also got involved in their Collegiate FFA and Farm Bureau. All of the opportunities the Ag department at Cloud offered me, helped me succeed at the university I chose to earn my bachelors degree at, as well as in life."
