Why Give?

A gift to the CCCC Foundation is an investment in the lives of students. Our success would not be possible without the generous support of alumni, friends, and businesses who believe in the exceptional community college education right here in North Central Kansas.

All gifts made to the Cloud County Foundation, regardless of their size, have a significant impact on the seemingly small things on campus. These gifts make a difference in the lives of real people. Wherever they are earmarked, these gifts help address specific needs and are meaningful to the students who benefit from them.

Donations to the CCCC Foundation, a non-profit organization, are tax deductible to the extent by law.

There are many ways to donate to the CCCC Foundation. Each offers the opportunity to make a direct and lasting impact on the students of Cloud County Community College. Please call the Foundation at (785) 243-1435 , ext. 235 to talk about how you can make a difference.

Ways to Give:

CASH

By simply writing a check (or charging a donation to your Visa or MasterCard), you will immediately help fulfill the Foundation's mission. You can choose to make a one-time cash gift or make donations on a monthly, quarterly, or any payment schedule. Your credit card can be automatically charged on a regular basis if you wish. Cash gifts are always welcomed and needed. Annual giving keeps the Foundation operating and giving back to the college.

GIFTS TO NAMED SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS

You may also contribure to any of our already established scholarships, such as: the David Bloom Memorial Scholarship in Journalism, Dr. M.C. Pearson Memorial Scholarship, Norman R. Ramsey Family Scholarship, Ross and Cher Olson Scholarship, Shaun Champlin Memorial Scholarship and many more (click here for a full list of our names scholarships). Many community members and alumni have committed their support to Cloud County Community College by creating a named scholarship. Please indicate the name of the fund on your check's memo line or in the comment section of our online giving form.

CONTINUING SCHOLARSHIPS

A minimum gift of $250 per academic year establishes a named continuing scholarship. You may also choose to continue the scholarship with annual donations. Gifts can also be made to the Foundation's General Scholarship fund.

ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS

You may create a named endowed scholarship fund. An endowed scholarship currently requires a minimum contribution of $10,000. Ways to reach this minimum contribution include one-time cash gifts, stocks and gifts given over a period of time, among many other plans. The Foundation will be pleased to work with you on a payment schedule that allows you to establish a scholarship fund.

PLANNED GIFTS

There are a variety of ways to make planned gifts to the Foundation that will not deplete lifetime assets, and in some cases, can furnish additional income and significant tax deductions. Ways to include the Foundation in your estate plans include bequests, life insurance, charitable annuities, retirement funds, trusts and real estate.

APPRECIATED STOCK OR OTHER SECURITIES

The Foundation readily accepts stocks or other securities as donations. By contributing a long-term appreciated stock or other security, you are helping secure the educational goals for students, and you may avoid capital gains taxes while taking a charitable deduction.

TRIBUTES AND MEMORIALS

Gifts to honor an event or an individual are a great way to pay tribute to a person or occasion (such as an anniversary, birthday or new family member). The Foundation informs the honoree or family member of the gift with a note (the gift amount is always confidential), showing that you care not only about them, but also about the future of the community.

IN-KIND DONATIONS

The Foundation accepts in-kind donations, such as equipment, artwork and computers that the college needs or that can be readily converted to cash. Please contact the Foundation to see if your item(s) can further the educational goals of the college's students.

MATCHING GIFTS

Many local corporations, including The Boeing Company, BP (British Petroleum) Johnson and Johnson, will match gifts made by employees. This is an easy and effective way to double your donation. Check with your employer for details.
