Micro Internship Program

We are excited to share a new opportunity for our students to gain short-term, paid professional experience with Kansas-based companies and non-profit organizations! Through the Kansas Micro-Internship Program, students enrolled in two or four-year colleges in Kansas can be selected to complete Micro-Internship opportunities. This program is supported by the Kansas Board of Regents and Parker Dewey.

Through these internships, students can put their skills to use, explore career paths and develop their professional network. These paid opportunities typically range from 5 to 40 hours of work per week, and pay is based on the project and time frame, but usually equates to $15-$20 per hour. Students can be selected for multiple internships, and most projects can be completed remotely and during flexible hours. Students must be enrolled at a Kansas community college or university, and most be a U.S. citizen. Recent graduates may also apply!

Cooperative Education internships are available to develop and enhance skills and employability. These require meeting course prerequisites. Class is offered for 1,2, or 3 credit hours that count toward graduation and most transfer colleges count the internships as a course elective. Contact the Career Center for details.

Job Shadows may also be available by contacting the Career and Transfer Center. Students have an opportunity to spend a few hours working with professionals in the field.
