Cloud Online System Requirements

Below are the minimum computer and Internet technology requirements for Cloud OnLine courses. Some courses have additional requirements that will be identified by the instructor upon request.

PC

• Pentium class or higher running Windows 98, XP, Vista, MacOS 10 or newer.
• Strongly Recommended: Microsoft Office 2003 or newer (for PC or Mac)
• High-Speed DSL/Cable or wireless internet connection. Dial up will work, but you may experience difficulty loading multi-media content.
• Sound card and speakers
• CD-ROM 8X or higher
• 64 Mb of RAM for most courses.
• Stable ISP connection - ISP must permit periods of apparent inactivity without automatic logout.
• Up to date virus detection and elimination application.
• E-Mail account

Some courses may require specific multimedia plug-ins. Instructors will indicate what plug-ins are required and how to retrieve them.

If you are using Windows Vista and Internet Explorer, you may experience compatibility problems with Blackboard. It is recommended that you download Firefox (http://www.getfirefox.com) and use Firefox to access your online classes.
