Rotary College Students of the Month
(CONCORDIA, KS) – Stephanie Bryant of Silver Lake has been chosen as the Rotary College Student of the Month for October at Cloud County Community College’s Concordia Campus. Comments offered on her nomination forms included, “Stephanie strives to excel in every area of her life. She works hard in the classroom and on the basketball court, while encouraging others to do the same. When asked to move beyond traditional class work and participate in citizenship and community service projects, Stephanie rose to the challenge and led the class with a commitment to the projects and with a positive attitude. We are fortunate to have Stephanie at Cloud County Community College following the legacy of her grandfather, Arlie Bryant.”
Stephanie plays basketball for the Lady T-Birds. She will complete an Associate of Science degree in Exercise Science while at Cloud and is undecided on her transfer school; however, she plans to complete a degree in chiropractic medicine. Her parents are Brad and Nancy Bryant of Silver Lake.
Kissom Moss, Topeka, was chosen as the Rotary College Student of the Month for September. Comments offered on his nomination forms included, “Kissom possesses great leadership abilities with a “can do” attitude. He is a positive role model for his peers and with younger students as well. Kissom is active in local charities, Big Brothers-Big Sisters, and with youth activities at the grade school. Kissom gives a lot to the people his life touches and expects nothing in return.”
Kissom is a varsity player on the Cloud County Community College basketball team and is a Student Ambassador. He graduated from Topeka West High School and attended Pittsburg State University as a redshirt freshman. He transferred to Cloud where he is studying business and marketing. Kissom plans to complete a bachelor’s degree and play basketball at a Division 2 institution. Kissom’s parents are K. Marvin and Ruth Moss. His younger brother Mekan plays basketball for Independence Community College and his older brother, Johar, played for Coffeyville Community College and now plays for Sterling Community College.
