Concordia Night set Jan. 2 at Cloud County Community College

(CONCORDIA, KS) --  Residents of the Concordia area will be guests of Cloud County Community College on Wednesday, Jan. 2 for a free meal and free admission to two CCCC basketball games.

Concordia Night at CCCC is sponsored by the college, the CCCC Athletic Booster Club, Central National Bank and The Blade Empire.   The Jan. 2 event is among five such nights honoring county residents who have supported the college over the years.

“These Community Nights allow us to thank area residents and have fun at the same time,” said CCCC President Dr. Richard Underbakke. “All the events of the evening are free and we’ll recognize the Concordia community throughout the night.”

Optional bus transportation will be available, leaving the parking lot north of Concordia City Hall at 5 p.m.  A meal will be served in the college cafeteria at 5:15 p.m.   The women’s basketball game against Butler Community College starts at 6 p.m. followed by the men’s competition at 8 p.m.   The bus will leave the college about 9:30 p.m. and return to the downtown parking lot.

Students also are welcome.  Junior high age and younger children should be accompanied by an adult.

For more information about Community Night, phone Janet Eubanks at the college, (800) 729-5101, ext. 342 or e-mail jeubanks@cloud.edu
