Cloud County Community College hosts free events

for Clifton-Clyde residents

(CONCORDIA, KS) --  Residents of the Clifton-Clyde area will be guests of Cloud County Community College Jan. 9 for a free meal and free admission to two CCCC basketball games.

Clifton-Clyde Night at CCCC is co-sponsored by the Clyde Chamber of Commerce.  The Jan. 9 event is among five such nights honoring Cloud County residents who have supported the college over the years.

“These Community Nights allow us to thank area residents and have fun at the same time,” said CCCC President Dr. Richard Underbakke. “All the events of the evening are free and we’ll recognize the Clyde and Clifton communities throughout the night.”

Optional bus transportation will be available, leaving the Elk State Bank in Clyde at 5 p.m.  A meal will be served in the college cafeteria at 5:15 p.m.   The women’s basketball game against Barton County Community College starts at 6 p.m. followed by the men’s competition at 8 p.m.   The bus will leave the college about 9:30 p.m. and return to Clyde.

Students also are welcome.   Junior high age and younger children should be accompanied by an adult.

To sign up to ride the bus, contact the Elk State Bank of Clyde.
