CCCC “Pie in the Face” contest to help Cloud County Food Bank
(CONCORDIA, KS) - Cloud County Community College is sponsoring a “Pie in the Face” contest Nov. 27 to contribute to the Cloud County Food Bank.
The purpose of the contest is the collection of donated personal hygiene and
non-perishable food items for the food bank.
CCCC employees Carleen Nordell, student activities director; Janet Eubanks, residence life director; Jonathon Wild, English instructor; and Brett Erkenbrack, women’s basketball coach along with Kirk Lowell, CloudCorp, and Judy Womack, Womack Sunshine Ford-Kawasaki, have agreed to get a pie in the face if they are the top three vote getters.
The event takes place at halftime of the Men’s Basketball game at Arley Bryant Gymnasium, Concordia campus, on Nov. 27.
Votes can be cast by donating a canned food item marked with the name of the person a donor wants to see get a pie in the face. Collection boxes are located at the CCCC switchboard, athletic office, cafeteria, and housing office and also at Womack Sunshine Ford-Kawasaki. Monetary donations at 50 cents per vote also are being accepted.
Items needed by the food bank include canned fruit, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, or any non-perishable food item.
