T-Bird’s Bor Top Runner in Region VI

Arkansas City, KS – Freshman sensation Julius Bor bested the field Monday morning winning the 2007 NJCAA Region VI Cross Country Championships. Bor, a native of Kenya, finished the 8k course in 24:49 nipping fellow countryman Daniel Maina of Cowley at the wire. Sophomore Julius Kiptum finished in 7^th place in a time of 26:07.

Danielle Cope was the women’s top finisher coming in 16^th place in a 5K time of 20:19.

The Cross Country teams will run in the NJCAA National Cross Country Championships on November 10^th in Rend Lake, Iowa.
