Cloud County Community College had three competitors record first-place finishes in the NJCAA Track and Field Outdoor Championships hosted by Mesa Community College.
Benard Keter, a freshman from Eldoret, Kenya, won the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:06.27.
Keter also ran 14:37.00 to finish second in the 5,000-meter run.
Reinhard Van Zyl, a freshman from Nelspruit, South Africa, won the javelin for the Thunderbirds with a throw of 234-5.
The Cloud County women had Taylor Swanson, a sophomore from Salina, capture first place in the pole vault by clearing 12-7 ½.
Cloud County placed sixth as a team in the men's division with 50 points.
The Cloud County women placed 11th as a team with 24 points.
Cloud County's Damar Robinson cleared 6-11 ¾ to place third in the men's high jump. Dwight Davidson thew 195-6 to finish third in the javelin for the T-Birds. Dakota Weber placed fourth in the discus (163-8) and the hammer throw (171-5).
The Cloud County women had Anna Linton throw 44-11 to place fifth in the shot put. Linton was eighth in the discus (135-10) and Rashell Reid was seventh with a throw of 136-5. Cloud County's 4x800 relay team of Katie Lambert, Tangie Hileman, Brenda Barnett and Brianna Blackwell placed fifth in 9:37.13. Tameca Wallace went 38-4 to place sixth in the triple jump.
