Washington County students visit cadaver lab

(CONCORDIA, KS) – Students from Washington County High School visited the cadaver lab and the nursing department on the Concordia campus of Cloud County Community College Monday, November 23.

Cloud County Community College is one of only a few community colleges in the nation to have a cadaver lab and offer a Human Body Dissection course and utilize the cadavers in the Human Anatomy course.

The first cadaver was used during the Fall 1988 semester as part of the Human Anatomy course. Twenty years later, students are still learning about the human body by studying the cadavers.

The CCCC nursing department opened its renovated facility in August 2009. The new facility includes a simulation lab equipped with four human simulators as well as a new computer lab and updated classroom.
