Art students host guest painters

(CONCORDIA, KS) – The consumers of Angel Square, a day and residential facility for MR/DD patients in Concordia, visited the Cloud County Community College Art Department Thursday, November 12.

While there, the students of the CCCC Painting II class helped the visitors learn to paint. Carol Urban, an employee of Angel Square and Painting II student, had converted books from the thrift store into “canvases” for the visitors to paint on.

“It (the books) was a unique project that Carol had used in her own work,” said CCCC art instructor Barb Stevens. “The visitors and students both enjoyed the experience.”
