News Release Referral
Faculty and staff can use this form to submit information for press releases. The form is submitted to the Marketing Director. Fill out as many fields and provide as much detail as possible. See the bottom of the page for suggestions.
Suggestions and help
For a fictional example: Dr. Joe is sponsoring an event, as head of the student group, "Couch Potatoes". The event will be held in the Cook Theatre, next month, and it involves a large tournament of Trivial Pursuit.
WHO - Who is at the center of this story? Who is affected or involved? Using our example, this would be "The Couch Potatoes" student group.
WHAT - What is happening? For example, "Trivial Pursuit tournament."
WHERE - Where is this happening? For example, "Cook Theater".
WHEN - When does this happen? For example, "Next month, at 7PM."
WHY or HOW - Why is this important, why is this occuring? What's the reason behind the story? For example, "It's the seventh annual Trivial Pursuit Tournament, designed to raise money for the Couch Potatoes' snack fund."
Other details - Include any other miscellaneous information or details.
