Title III Activities Calendar Curriculum Revision Activity—Using the DACUM (Developing A Curriculum) model from Ohio State University, Journalism/Broadcasting, Graphic Design, and Administration of Justice curricula are analyzed and revised with the assistance of professionals in each of these fields. Some facility remodel accompanies curriculum revisions. Experts in the field of nursing will train teachers in the instructional use of health equipment acquired through the grant. DACUM Facilitator will: Demonstrate industry analysis of skills by facilitating DACUM panels to identify required competencies in sample fields of employment. Describe guidelines for the industry council’s participation. Work with industry council to elicit and clarify task statements. Review and finalize task statements with the industry council. Assist preparation of the DACUM chart. Train personnel for year one (Project Director and Curriculum Specialist for Journalism/Broadcasting) in the DACUM process.

Staff Development Activity— Faculty Released for Instructional Technology Training will: Conceptualize, organize, develop and evaluate curricula to improve student learning through integration of technology. Train fellow faculty members in effective methods learned. Serve as resource to key personnel as needed to achieve activity objectives. Collect student data as needed for reporting and evaluating project outcomes.
