Associate Degree (A.D.N.) Nursing ProgramNorth Central Kansas Technical College (NCKTC) and Cloud County Community College offer a two-year multiple entry and multiple exit program in nursing, approved by the State Board of Nursing. The associate degree level is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Students who successfully complete the first level receive a practical nurse certificate from North Central Kansas Technical College and are eligible to take the licensure examination for practical nursing. Practical nurses with ability and resources, whose career goal is registered nursing, may enroll for two additional semesters. After completing the entire program, students receive an Associate of Applied Science degree from Cloud County Community College and are eligible to write the licensure examination for registered nurses. Students may complete the practical nursing level of the program, become licensed and work, then re-enter the program at a later time to complete the associate degree. The practical nursing level of the program is offered at the Beloit campus of the North Central Kansas Technical College. The associate degree level is offered at Cloud County Community College in Concordia. Clinical experiences are available in a variety of health care settings. |
