Application Process

Please read the following information thoroughly!
  1. Applications will be accepted prior to April 1st, for those anticipating admission the following fall. Late applications will be accepted on a space available basis. Please visit the application page for an online copy of the application.
Note: Application to Cloud County Community College does not constitute an application to the nursing program.
  2. The applicant shall have an application on file for the year that the class is being selected.
  3. The applicant shall submit official transcripts for all secondary and post-secondary course work taken in order to be considered for class selection.
  4. For applicants who have graduated from a Practical Nursing Program in Kansas and qualify for direct admission, guidelines of the Council for Nursing Articulation in Kansas will be followed.
  5. For those applicants who have graduated from an out-of-state practical nursing program, nursing credits will be evaluated individually.
  6. All required information (Application to Cloud County Community College, Application to the Nursing Program, and official transcripts) shall be in the official file maintained at Cloud County Community College before the application will be reviewed. Responsibility for completing the required information rests entirely with the applicant.
  7. The class will be selected by choosing the highest-ranking applicants (according to the Points Grid). Alternates will be chosen to fill the remaining slots as positions become available. In case of a tie, application date will be considered. Ranking criteria will be provided with the application packet.
  8. Provisional class selection will be made, and those selected will be notified in April.
  9. Following the final class selection, the application will be purged and the application process (meaning a new application) will begin again.
  • There are specific abilities that are critical to nursing student success. Students must demonstrate the ability to meet technical standards, with or without reasonable accommodations. Please review the Essential Functions information provided.
