Brent Phillips, English Instructor, English Department Chair
Educational Background Brenton Phillips began teaching at Cloud County Community College in 2002, after teaching high school English, drama, yearbook, and forensics for sixteen years. In addition to being selected CCCC's 2004-2005 Instructor of the Year and for a National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development award, Phillips has won several writing awards in poetry, short story, and essay writing from the Kansas Authors Club and Kansas Voices. bphillips@cloud.edu

Peter Pellegrin, English Instructor, Geary County Campus
Educational Background Dr. Peter Pellegrin has served as the Lead Humanities Instructor for the Geary County Campus of Cloud County Community College since 1999. A member of the English Department, he has served as the Department Chair of English, the GCC Library Liaison, and the Director of the GCC Learning Skills center. Pellegrin is the Faculty Advisor for the Beta Eta Xi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society for two-year colleges. He has served as an International Faculty Scholar twice and been awarded the Kansas Region Paragon Award for Advisors. Nancy Zenger-Beneda, English Instructor
Nancy Zenger-Beneda is a Cloud proud alum. After graduating from Hillcrest High School in Cuba, KS, Zenger-Beneda enrolled at Cloud to major in Business Administration, sing in the Great Society and perform Greece, the drama department's musical production at the historically acclaimed Brown Grand Theater. Cloud influenced her to become a theater major when she transferred to Kansas State University. After an internship of acting and directing in K-State's Nichols Hall Theater, Zenger-Beneda moved back to Cuba and began teaching for Cloud County Community College in the Community Education program, providing night classes in Mankato, Morrowville, Belleville, and Cuba. In 2003, Zenger-Beneda joined the faculty as a full-time instructor.

Kim Muff, English Instructor
Educational Background Kim Muff received her Associate's Degree from Cloud County Community College in 1984. At Kansas State University, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications (with an emphasis in Public Relations), and a dual degree the following semester in Recreation Administration. In December 2007, she completed a Master of Liberal Studies degree from Fort Hays State University with an emphasis in English. Muff is currently an instructor in the English department and the advisor for the Upsilon Tau chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society for two-year colleges.

Jonathan Wild, English Instructor
Educational Background Jonathan Wild proudly served in the United States Navy aboard an Ohio-class nuclear submarine. Before coming to CCCC, Wild taught English, Spanish and Technical Writing at Lyons High School; taught English, Spanish, Video Production, Introduction to Theatre and Desktop Publishing at St. John’s Military School in Salina, Kansas; and also taught English as an adjunct instructor for both Barton and Cloud Community Colleges. Graduated from CCCC in 1996 as a Guistwhite scholar and a member of the All-USA Academic Team. Wild enjoys participating in community theatre and performing on stage as a singer/songwriter/guitarist in a rock’n’roll band.
