CCCC Speed Fiction Contest, Spring 2008
Spring 2008 contest information is available here, and it includes basic information, rules
and guidelines, and the entry form. The deadline is April 17. All entries must be
100 words or less. Sharpen your pencils or clean up your keyboards!
Speed Fiction is our term for micro-stories that include the basics of fiction—character,
conflict, climax, resolution, setting, theme--all in one hundred words. Participants
are challenged to test their word economy, their conciseness of expression, their
ability to pack a wallop into one hundred words, to strip their writing to the bare
bones, to get to the point in a jiffy! Divisions are adult, college students, and
youth.
