Parents

Here's What We Can Do For You

  • We can answer your parenting questions.
Every parent at some point wonders what they can do about their child.  Questions can range from "Is my child developing normally?", "I am at the end of my rope, is there anything I can do differently to discipline my child?", or "My child was born with Downs Syndrome.  What can I do to help her or him be all they can be?"
  • We provide parenting workshops.
Our agency offers training on parenting techniques, and childcare issues throughout the year.  Contact us to find out when there is a workshop in your area.
  • We are part of a referral service.
A  professional referral specialist can assist you in finding quality childcare.  We keep profiles on child care providers in your area.  They are able to help you locate providers with vacancies, who can meet the needs of your family.

They will  help you find care for children in Family Child Care Homes, Child Care Centers, After School Programs, and Preschools.

They will send you a list of available child care providers.

They will also follow up with you to be sure you are satisfied with the service you are receiving.
  • Our office is a place for you to voice your concerns about a childcare provider.
Please click here for more information.
  • We are not a licensing agency.
Sometimes parents are afraid to tell someone that they are concerned about a provider.  We can listen to your concerns and help you to decide if further action needs to be taken.  All complaints and concerns are strictly confidential.
  • We assist parents with applying for financial assistance for child care if necessary.
We will put you in touch wit the right people, and assist you with filling out any paperwork.
  • We provide several training opportunities for child care providers.
Parents can be assured that our office is doing all it can to be sure that the children in our service delivery area are receiving the best care possible.

Remember: All our services are free!

Note: Early Childhood Professionals will be referred to you based on information you
provide.  While every effort is made to supply you with accurate information, the
childcare professionals supply most of the data.  These are referrals, not  recommendations.  You should always visit potential day care providers before deciding on a child care arrangement.    Please refer to the "Tips for Choosing Quality Care" link at the top of this web page for more information.
