Head Volleyball Coach Josh Cook is a graduate of MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Ks. He has a bachelors degree in Physical Education, and a Masters in Educational Technology both from MNU. During his time at MNU, Coach Cook played for the Men's basketball team under legendary coach Rocky Lamar.

Cook comes to the T-Birds from the University of Maine at Machias, where he led the team to a 24-8 record and an appearance in the regional championship game. Cook has also coached women's basketball for five years, highlighted by his time as an assistant at MNU. During his time at MNU, the Pioneers went 60-11, with two trips to the NAIA national tournament, and a Final Four berth in 2006.

Julie Cook is a graduate of MidAmerica Nazarene University with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. While at MNU Julie played on the Pioneer volleyball team, and was a starting DS on the back to back national tournament qualifying teams in 2001 and 2002. Her playing career spans the best 4 years in MNU volleyball history.

Cook rejoined the MNU volleyball program in 2005 as an assistant coach. While serving in this capacity she was in charge of coaching the Defensive Specialists and Liberos. Following her time as an assistant at MidAmerica Nazarene, Cook took a position as the assistant volleyball coach at the University of Maine at Machias, again focusing on the passers. During her time at UMM the Clippers were 24-8 and advanced to the regional finals. Cook was also a integral part of recruiting the conference player of the year and All-American to UMM.
