GCC PTK advisor named distinguished advisor

(JUNCTION CITY, KS) – Dr. Peter Pellgrin, faculty advisor for the Beta Eta Xi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, Cloud County Community College, Geary County Campus was recently named an International Distinguished Advisor. This honor was announced at the Phi Theta Kappa 2010 International Conference in Orlando, Florida, April 8-10.

Fall 2009 Honor Roll Announced

(CONCORDIA, KS) – Cloud County Community College has announced the names of students on the Fall 2009 Academic Honor Roll. To be named to the honor roll, students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours of college coursework and achieve a minimum 3.6 grade point average. Kansas students are listed by county and city. Others are listed by hometown.

Students inducted into international honor society

(Concordia, Kan) —Fifteen students from the Concordia Campus became members of the Upsilon Tau Chapter and seven students from the Geary County Campus became members of Beta Eta Xi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Cloud County Community College’s Concordia campus on November 17. Chapter advisors Cathy Forshee and Dr. Pete Pellegrin inducted the students during a ceremony in the presence of family members and other special guests.

GCC students visit cadaver lab, nursing department

Students from the Cloud County Community College, Geary County Campus “Introduction to Healthcare Professions” class visited the cadaver lab and the nursing department on the Concordia campus of CCCC Friday, November 6. Students enrolled in this class are currently Junction City High School juniors and seniors.

(CONCORDIA, KS) – Cloud County Community College invites past, present and future Thunderbirds as well as community members of Concordia, Cloud County and its service area to participate in the 2009 Thunder Daze weekend.
