| Bor wins Drake Relays |
| (Des Moines, IA) – Cloud County Community College freshman Julius Bor struck gold once again winning the mile run at the 2008 Drake Relays this past weekend. The Kenyan-native won the event in 4:05.51 against some of the top runners in the United States. Bor adds to his collection of top performances in the mile as he took first at the Kansas Relays back on April 19th and second at the Texas Relays on the 5th. Bor ran his season best in Austin with a 3:59 performance.

| Thunderbirds Face Johnson County in tournament |
| Fresh off a 4-game sweep of the Broncbusters of Garden City Community College, the Cloud County Thunderbirds (24-32) drew the Cavaliers of Johnson County (34-15) in the first round of the Region VI Baseball Tournament. The two teams will play a best-of-three series with game one of two beginning at 12 noon at the JCCC Baseball Complex. If there is a split on Saturday, a third and deciding game will be played on Sunday. The winner of the series will advance on to the Region VI Tournament to be played out at Lawrence Dumont Stadium in Wichita, Kansas. The brackets are attached.    Full story |

| 2008 Volleyball Camp announced |
| (Concordia, KS) -- Cloud County Community College will be hosting the Thunderbird Volleyball Camps for middle school and high school players. The camps will run from July 28-30 for high school players in grades 9-12, and from July 31 to Aug 1 for players in grades 5-8. | (Colby, KS) - Stepping it up on both ends of the floor in the second half, the 21st-ranked Cloud County Thunderbirds buried Colby 79-49 in a Jayhawk Conference Western Division match up, Saturday night, in Bryant Gymnasium. Struggling to shake off a pesky Colby team, Cloud County led the Trojans just 32-26 at halftime. With the game tied at 58-58, Cloud County committed a turnover with 1.3 seconds remaining. Pratt then returned the favor when an attempt at a long inbounds pass sailed out of bounds without any time running off the clock. | (Colby, KS) -- The Cloud County Community College Thunderbird Basketball teams braved the elements and a feisty Jayhawk West opponent to notch wins Wednesday night on the road in Colby. The 13th ranked Lady T-Birds got up on the Lady Trojans early and never let down winning their 4th straight conference game, 76-53. Cloud County (16-2, 4-0) shot 43% from the floor and 76.5% from the charity stripe for the night. Sophomore Kenya Howard came off the bench to lead all scorers and rebounders with 18 points and 7 rebounds. A pair of freshmen, Deandra Schirmer and Ashley Schmitt had 12 points each. Rounding out the scoring: Bryant – 8; Kermis – 2; Chapman – 7; White – 6; Pitts – 2; O’Neill – 6.   |

| Thunderbirds Fall Short in First Road Test |
| (Norfolk, NE) – The Cloud County men’s basketball team fell in their first road test of the 2007-2008 season losing to Northeast Community College 92-80 Wednesday night. NECC blistered the nets in the opening half hitting 7 of 11 three pointers on their way to a 48-36 halftime lead. The T-Birds fought back in the second half closing the lead to 5, but the NECC hot hands continued as they finished the night hitting 51% of their shots (52% from beyond the arc).    Full story |

| (Norfolk, NE) -- The Lady T-Birds captured their first road win of the 2007-2008 season taking out the Lady Hawks of Northeast Community College 69-68. It was a nip and tuck game throughout with Cloud clinging to a 4 point half time advantage 38-34.
