Carleen Nordell has coached the Thunderbolt Dance squad at Cloud for the last 15 years. Nordell initiated the Dance program to provide support and entertainment at the Cloud County Basketball games. The squad performs for every home basketball games, as well as the Region VI Tournament. They support the other athletic teams by participating in theme nights and giving them goodie bags with the cheer squad. The Dance Team is made up of 16 members from Cloud’s service area.

Coach Nordell has a national coaches certificate with NDA/NCA.

Nordell enjoys singing, spending time with family and friends, decorating the house for holidays, and working in her yard. She also enjoys supporting the other athletic teams at Cloud. Nordell has a husband, Mark, and four children: Derick, Trevor, Ian, and Jara.
