Requirements: Students must maintain at least a 2.75 GPA for acceptance into teacher education.

After Cloud: Most transfer institutions require education majors to pass (30th percentile or higher) the Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST) BEFORE acceptance into teacher education. The PPST is a test of general knowledge in the areas of reading, mathematics, and writing. Cloud County administers the PPST each fall.  For more information, contact the CCCC Advisement Center.

Gainful Employment: Obtaining an Associate of Science or Associate of Arts degree with an emphasis in teaching should allow a student to transfer into a four-year program.  This degree is not specifically a “School to Work” or “Career Ready” program.  Associate degrees would make students more competitive for most entry level positions.  Gainful employment data would be comparable to various entry level positions at or above minimum wage values.

Transfer Institution Guide:  A student who is interested in pursuing a baccalaureate degree should consult a CCCC advisor and the transfer guide and catalog of the four-year institution.
