Publications

At Cloud, we believe that students learn best by putting their skills to the test. Our publications do just that. From the Creative Writing classroom to KVCO Radio, our students are preparing work for real audiences both on campus and off.

T-Bird TimesT-Bird Times is our online student newspaper.

If you're the next big thing in news--from Buzzfeed to the New York Times--T-Bird Times is where you want to be. Re-booted as an online publication in 2015, T-Bird Times is our student newspaper, part of our student-run Thunderhead Media. Cloud students compile written stories, audio reports, and video news from the student perspective. Check it out by clicking here.

KVCO RadioThe logo for KVCO radio.

Also a part of Thunderhead Media, our on-campus radio station broadcasts during the school year on 88.3 FM. "The Thunder Behind Cloud" hosts student-run music hours, talk shows, and is the only place you will find T-Bird basketball games. Listen through the airwaves or stream online. Check it out by clicking here.

CumulusThe cover from the 2015 edition of Cumulus.

Cumulus is our online, digital yearbook and magazine. Active since 2012, the publication aims to "capture a year in the life of Cloud County Community College." Students working on Cumulus practice writing, graphic design, digital publishing, and video production. The yearbook is published each year in August. Check it out by clicking here.

The Silver Lining

The Silver Lining is a product of our Creative Writing Classes (CM 106 / 107). Each time the class is offered, students write, edit, and produce their own literary magazine, which is distributed on-campus.
